“Over recent years, my Mother’s health has deteriorated with advancing age (97 years) to the extent that she would have to be placed in an aged care facility was obvious. She has had a couple of falls in more recent times, the first resulting in a broken femur and more recently a broken arm.
In the latter part of 2014 she had another fall and was not found for about three days, when she was hospitalized. Arrangements were then made for her release to an aged care facility as she is now unable to walk and look after herself.
During a trip to WA to see my Mother, I dropped in to Gard and Associates in Bunbury with a view to selling her property as it was obvious that she would never be able to return there. Jason was made aware of the circumstances and that some time would be required to prepare Mum’s house for sale.
After my niece had completed the necessary work, I notified Jason that the house was ready for sale. Jason visited Mum in the nursing home, more to set her mind at ease regarding the sale than anything else. This, I think was a wonderful gesture. Within days, Jason contacted me with the news that he had a buyer interested and an offer had been made. After some negation, the deal was finalized.
Apart from my initial visit to Gard & Associates in Spencer Street in Bunbury, the entire process has been conducted by phone and email. All transactions were conducted most efficiently and expeditiously, with a paper trail automatically generated on every aspect of the process. Gard’s staff has been most efficient, co-operative and helpful. It would seem nothing is too much trouble for them, going beyond that which would normally be expected to ensure the sale was executed professionally.
During my early visit to the sales office, I did express interest in photographs of very early Bunbury adorning the walls. During the course of this property sale, I have received copies of these photographs, for which I am most grateful.
Of course, with the sale of land and property, there is the matter of conveyancing. In this regard, I must add that the service provided by Bunbury Settlement Services Pty Ltd was also performed most satisfactorily, again electronically and with no question of the process and with a most satisfactory result.
Initially, I thought this would be a complicated and drawn out process. How wrong I was. The time frame was extremely quick, to the end that it was me who requested an extension to settlement and there were no complications.
Thank you to Gard & Associates and Bunbury Settlement Services Pty Ltd.
